Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness for people over the age of 60, and is traditionally described as tunnel vision which Jordan worked to portray in this photograph. Her vision has not progressed to this point yet, but Glaucoma has many stages which all deserve to be represented. Living with an eye disease means our sight and view of everything continuously changes. The same cottage looks different every time as the Glaucoma worsens or becomes better-controlled - either way, the view remains beautiful. The shades of blue and the textures of grain and smudging can be seen throughout her work.
